Who we are
A family of young people inside the Church of the Home.
CFC Youth for Christ is the youth ministry of Couples for Christ, a Catholic lay ecclesial movement that began in Manila in 1981. YFC was formed in 1993 so that the children of CFC families — and every young person who wants in — could have a community of their own.
Here in Davao del Norte, that looks like weekly households in living rooms and parish halls, service in our parishes, camps that fill a gym with singing, and friendships that keep you steady when school and home get heavy.
We are part of the wider CFC family: Kids for Christ (ages 4–12), Youth for Christ (13–21), Singles for Christ (22–40), Handmaids of the Lord and Servants of the Lord — all under Couples for Christ.

No one walks alone. Every member belongs to a household — a small group that prays, listens, and grows together all year.

Fun
Being young means having fun — good, clean fun. Camps, sports, music, and Saturdays worth showing up for.
Faith
None of the rest works without it. A real relationship with God, grounded in the teaching of the Catholic Church — not rules memorised, but a person known.
Friendship
Brothers and sisters who walk with you, pray for you, and tell you the truth — until you start seeing God in everyone you meet.
Freedom
Freedom from sin, from insecurity, and from what the past did to you — and the freedom to love openly and become the person God meant you to be.

CFC Youth for Christ reaches young people wherever they already are — in the barangay, in high school, on campus, at home, and online. Every program runs here in Davao del Norte.
Community-Based
Renewal in Christ through Raising Faith Communities
The heart of YFC — households in our barangays and parishes, gathered under the local CFC community. This is where most members find their home.
High School-Based
Proclaiming God's Greatness in the Schools
Faith brought into secondary schools across the province, through student-led groups, retreats and values formation.
Campus-Based
God's Mission in the Campuses
For college and university students — community, formation and mission in the campuses of Tagum, Panabo and beyond.
Torch
Strengthening Family Relationships towards Renewal in Christ
Work with families themselves, so that what a young person meets at camp is carried on at home.
YCOM
Youth for Christ Communications
The communications arm of the ministry. YCOM puts the creativity and technology young people already have to work — evangelising online and carrying ideas across YFC in a language that actually reaches the youth of today.

There is a next step for you no matter where you’re starting from.

Youth Camp
The doorway in. A weekend of talks, worship, games and small-group sharing where you meet Jesus for yourself — not as a rule, but as a person. Open to anyone 13–21.
Entry point - 02
Household
A small group of 5–10 members who meet weekly to pray, share life, and study Scripture. This is where the community actually happens.
Weekly - 03
Formation & Teachings
Christian Life Talks, retreats, and leaders' training that take you deeper — prayer, Scripture, chastity, family, discernment, and character.
Ongoing - 04
Service & Mission
Parish service, outreach in our barangays, medical and feeding missions, school evangelisation, and helping run the next camp for the next batch.

Stories
Most of us came for something else.
Our YFCs, in their own words — how they arrived, and why they stayed.
I came to camp for the free food and the games. I left knowing that God actually knew my name. Four years later I'm still here, and now I lead a household.
My family was going through the hardest year we've had. My household prayed with me every week without ever making me feel like a project. That's what kept me.
I thought being a Christian meant being boring. Turns out it meant finding the loudest, most honest friends I've ever had.

Questions
Honest answers.
Do I have to be Catholic?
YFC is a Catholic community and our formation is Catholic, but you're welcome to come to a camp or a household and see for yourself. Nobody will pressure you.
Does it cost anything?
Membership is free. Camps and conferences sometimes ask for a small registration fee to cover food and materials — and no one is ever turned away over money. Talk to your chapter's service team.
My parents aren't in Couples for Christ. Can I still join?
Yes. Many of our members came through a friend or a school invitation. We're happy to talk to your parents so they know exactly what you're joining.
How much time does it take?
A household meets about once a week for one to two hours. Camps and conferences are a few times a year. Service is as much as you can give, and school always comes first.
What happens when I turn 22?
You graduate into Singles for Christ, or into CFC itself when you marry. The community doesn't end — it just changes shape. Once a YFC, always a YFC.
Is there a safeguarding policy for minors?
Yes. All activities involving minors follow CFC's youth-protection guidelines and the policies of the Diocese of Tagum, with parental consent required for camps and overnight activities.
